Workshop Description:

Helping ASL interpreters to identify the effects of environmental, situational and emotional triggers within assignments or clients to better bolster individual resiliency.

Educational Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • Self evaluate anxiety by means of a holistic model and informal self-assessment.
  • Articulate the 8 facets of typical daily challenges.

      Presenter Bio:

      Jim Macedone

      Jim Macedone has been an interpreter for over 30 years. He is a practicing Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC) at Igniting Change in Lehi, Utah. Jim graduated from BYU-Provo in Family Science and got his masters in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Phoenix with High Honors. He actively serves on the Board for the Utah Mental Health Counselors Association for the past 4-5 years. Jim employs a constructivist approach including narrative therapy and play therapy. Jim has experience working with families, couples, individuals, teens, and kids. When Jim is not interpreting or counseling, he is definitely kayaking, at home with his wife and five kids, watching movies, gardening, or working on his 1:1 scale R2-D2.


      Full refunds will be given for all written (emailed) requests received by January 28, 2022. No refunds will be given for requests received after that time but funds may be used toward a future Zaboosh workshop.
