Workshop Description:

How do students who use sign language to access their educational environment also maximize their social skills and gain access to social opportunities? What is incidental learning and what does that look like for students who are deaf? How can interpreters provide access to incidental learning opportunities? What are authentic relationships?

Presenter Bio:

Jaclyn Tyrcha is a native Coloradoan and a teacher of the Deaf/HH for over 10 years. She currently collaborates and works with educational interpreters, general education teachers, and additional specialized staff in an inclusive general education environment. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her family, hiking, making malas, and working as an energy healer.
