Interpreters play a pivotal role in how Deaf professionals are perceived in leadership, meetings, and workplace dynamics. This session unpacks the real-world challenges Deaf professionals face and how interpreter choices, both intentional and unconscious, can shape their authority and influence. Through real feedback from Deaf professionals, we'll explore ethical dilemmas, unconscious bias, and power dynamics in interpreted interactions. Expect a highly interactive experience with pre-recorded interviews, real-time discussions, and guided reflections to help you elevate your interpreting approach and ensure Deaf professionals are fully empowered in their roles.
