Keynote: The Lessons You Earn
Workshop Description:
Some of the most important lessons in professional practice don’t come from coursework, workshops, or best-practice guides. They come from real moments: the ones that go sideways, the ones that stretch you, and the ones you don’t forget (even if you wish you could).
In this story-driven session, I share what 20+ years in the field has taught me—through missteps, risks, recoveries, and a few hard-earned wins. Along the way, participants will reflect on their own experiences and consider how those moments have shaped their practice.
Workshop Objectives:
As a result of attending this workshop, participants will be able to:

Presenter Bio:
Chanté J. Wilson has been working as an interpreter since 2003. She has had the privilege of working in many interpreting settings including government, community, theatrical and medical though her favorite setting is higher education. She is also the proud founder of Zaboosh. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and a Master's degree in Instructional Design and Educational Technology. Chanté is passionate about learning and can often be found tinkering with a new type of software, acquiring a new skill or scoping out her next educational endeavor. She also loves spending time with her amazingly supportive family.
